Great PuzzleJan 18, 2011
By Robert Stoecklein This 2000-piece puzzle of Neuschwanstein Castle was a lot of fun to put together. In fact, it was hard for me to get up from the table when I was working on it! It provided many challenges without being excessively complex.
The photo is beautiful, and the pieces are cut nice and they fit together well. The photo has enough variation in color, texture, and piece shape to keep my interest.
At 39 x 27 inches it's rather large, which means you need a good-sized table to work on. And actually, the completed puzzle measured about 1/2 inch wider and taller than the dimensions given on the box.
We glued the finished puzzle together and hung it on the wall. Looks pretty good.
Item sold as newMar 05, 2012
By KcKevitt This is not as much a product review as my disappointment with the fact that this puzzle was sold as new and that is apparently not the case. I gave it as a Christmas present to a friend who completed it this weekend. She informed me that 5 pieces are missing. All of the puzzles I have purchased in the past had the pieces sealed in plastic bag(s). This was not the case with this purchase.
Do I want to return the puzzle for a new one? Not really. She informed me she does not want to complete the puzzle again. What does Amazon recommend in this case?
What was I thinking?Feb 25, 2012
By Walker Wow this puzzle was a big step up in difficulty from the 1000 piece puzzles I've worked before. The castle went together easily, but the rest of the puzzle takes a lot of work because the colors are so similar. I was about ready to throw in the towel but persevered and realize that I'll be able to complete it. After all the work I plan to mount it on foamboard as it's a beautiful scene.
Also the all the pieces are interlocking so the puzzle stays in place. A quality fold out picture is included. Note that you will need a big workspace.
Edit: I finished the puzzle and it feels like quite an accomplishment. I read that a puzzle is 4 times harder for every double in piece count. Kudo's to Buffalo Games - the pieces are well cut and interlock tightly. There is enough variation in the pieces to use shape to find the right piece (it's hard to use color/image in this puzzle).
Great puzzle!Feb 02, 2011
By Nicholas Buol I got this for my wife who loves doing puzzles in the cold winter months. She said that she really liked this one. The image is nice. The only complaint is that the sky/clouds/mountains are somewhat bland shades of blue compared to the colorful foreground. I told her about the same castle but in the winter time (lots of snow) and she thought that it would be fun too.

Did my souvenir shopping on line while on holiday in Germany, didn't have to pack it around or worry about shipping it home from the "Father Land".
