I have a few of these Eric Dowdle folk art puzzles and they're very nice. When you buy an artist puzzle like this, you do it for two reasons, the art/artist and for the puzzle.
I really enjoy Dowdle's folk art and they've been popular as puzzles for at least 10 years now. I recall seeing them a long time ago with the luggage packaging and that was really eye catching. The luggage packing was what set them apart from the other puzzles and one of the reasons why I bought it.
I have 2 of this particular puzzle, one of them from a few years ago it's 18 X 24 500 pieces (not 1000 pieces, though I'm aware there's a 1000 pc 18 x 24). I have to say that my older puzzle is better quality with better cardboard and crisp edges. This newer one is smaller and the quality of the pieces aren't as nice. If you look a little bit on Amazon, you can still find a few Dowdle 500 pc 18 X 24 puzzles without a jacked up price, those are really worth it.
