not a good reproductionSep 08, 2011
By Redgecko This puzzle cuts off four stars from the top of the painting, nips the top of the building and chops off the top of the sun. Go to Wikipedia to see a depiction of the original painting. If you want a good Starry Night Puzzle then buy Clementoni which exactly replicates the Van Gogh painting or the 1000 piece puzzle by Eurographics, which crowds the stars a bit, but is far, far better than this Buffalo Games mess.

Well-made, a bit overpriced, and way too hardJul 08, 2009
By S. B. Guza There's no doubt that this puzzle is going to take a while, but that's the fun of it, right? It's big, taking up our entire dining room table before it's assembled, so you'll need to have a lot of room available. But it's probably the highest quality puzzle I've seen, with no bent pieces and no "puzzle dust" at the bottom of the box. My only complaint - I could have saved money if I'd shopped around. [...]
UPDATE: Okay, I should've waited to add my review. The other reviewer is right - all of the pieces look alike! It's not much fun if you can't make noticeable progress. This is a beautiful painting, but a terrible puzzle.

Challanging but worth itSep 11, 2009
By C. Cox This is a challenging puzzle, but that's the fun in it. It certainly isn't one you would finish in a week, but I was looking for something that would challenge me for awhile but still be "do-able" and entertaining. This is exactly that. It's also a great way to study the painting and get a feel for how van Gogh created it. I liked the painting before I started the puzzle, but I appreciate it much more now.

Challenging PuzzleApr 03, 2011
By Andrew I just finished this puzzle with my girlfriend. It took us a few months to complete. We had the puzzle spread across the dining room table. We also brought another table over to the side, so that we could lay pieces out flat to determine where they go. The puzzle is well built and looks great when completed. The patterns on the puzzle are such that you really have to study the pieces when assembling them to determine if they go together. The puzzle came with a picture of the puzzle that we used to determine where the pieces went. If it weren't for that picture the puzzle would have taken longer to complete. If you are looking for a challenging puzzle I would definitely recommend this puzzle.

Definitely a challenge!Oct 26, 2009
By J. Hilb This puzzle is definitely not easy! But as a previous reviewer said, isn't that the point? As an adult it is difficult to find a puzzle that is truly challenging--but this one definitely is. And talk about a sense of accomplishment when you finally finish! This puzzle sat on my kitchen table for a good two months before we finally finished it-- so if you're looking for a quick and easy puzzle to do this probably isn't it.
